Recently two countries joined the Scaling Up Nutrition. The Republic of Guinea-Bissau became the 49th country and the Republic of Costa Rica became the 50th country to commit to scaling up nutrition with the SUN Movement. The government of Guiner-Bissau has adopted a national nutrition policy and will establish a multi-sectoral coordination framework for enhancing the synergy of all stakeholders in order to fight efficiently against malnutrition. On the other side the government of Costa Rica has been making efforts to improve the health of the population through strengthening nutrition programs and surveillance systems nationwide. Both of the countries committed to better nutrition for all and they also showed determination to continue making progress.
